I am offering a one-day workshop for psychotherapists interested in learning about Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). ISTDP is an evidence-based, experiential therapy that is rooted in psychodynamic and attachment theory. Research and clinical experience support the view that the direct, visceral experience of core emotions within the therapy session can be transformative. ISTDP has unique elements that can offer dynamic therapists both a conceptual framework as well as specific tools to help them be more effective in their work. The workshop will be held in my home in Hollywood on Saturday November 8th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an hour break for lunch. Those of us who do ISTDP videotape our sessions so that I will be able to show you examples of my work as an integral part of your learning experience. I will be teaching the principles and practice of ISTDP through lecture, group discussion, and role playing to help you acquire new skills.

The cost of the workshop is $175 and lunch will be provided. I regret that I am not able to offer continuing education credits. I need a minimum of 8 therapists to do the workshop. Please contact me if you are interested in reserving a space or to ask questions.
