In this introduction to ISTDP, participants are given an overview of the theory and metapsychology and learn the core principles of this approach within a small group setting. Lectures, role-play, skill building exercises, and videotaped ISTDP therapy sessions are used to demonstrate effective interventions. Topics covered include:

• Developing an effective focus for change
• Assessing pathways of unconscious anxiety
• Identifying maladaptive defence patterns

There are only 8 places on the course and these usually sell out well in advance so early booking is advised if you are keen. The trainer will be Dr Sharon Lewis and the course will take place in London.
