New Core Training in Calgary, Canada

18 May 2017 By IEDTA Website

The Western Canada Institute for Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy is finalizing plans to start a 3-year Core Training in ISTDP in Calgary. In accordance with IEDTA Core Training standards, this involves four 3-day training weekends annually, for a total of 12 weekend training modules.

We are planning to have Jon Frederickson lead this Core group. Similar to the structure of his training programs in Europe, he will attend supervision in person here once per year, and conduct a training weekend by video link (e.g. Skype) on another weekend. Twice per year an associate familiar with his curriculum will attend and supervise.

Planning at this juncture involves the following schedule:
1. Weekend of July 14 with Jon Frederickson
2. Weekend of September 15 (16, 17) with Diane Byster
3. Weekend in December TBA, for Skype supervision with Jon
4. Weekend in March, 2018, TBA with Diane Byster

Please reply to Kent Sargeant (jksargeant@gmail.com) or Diane Anderson (istdpcanada@gmail.com) at your earliest convenience as to your interest in and commitment to this training.
