New Los Angeles (formerly San Francisco) Core Training Program in Davanloo’s ISTDP

24 June 2016 By IEDTA Website

A year long core training program in Davanloo’s Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy has ended, with a decision to relocate the group to Los Angeles.  The upcoming program, to consist of four training blocks (each of 3 days duration), will commence this September. If you would like to learn more, please contact me at 732-297-5557, or by email at johnrathauser@comcast.net.

For those of you who do not know me, or my background, I offer the following brief bio: John H. Rathauser, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with over 35 years of clinical experience.  Following completion of his doctorate in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology–Los Angeles, his postdoctoral experiences began with a five-year period of training at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health in New York.  In 1994 he entered into training with Habib Davanloo, M.D. in Montreal, Canada, spending eight years in Dr. Davanloo’s Core Training Group. This training is ongoing, now spanning over twenty years, with annual, weeklong metapsychology conferences, which Dr. Davanloo continues to hold in Montreal. John Rathauser’s private practice in Kendall Park, N.J. is largely devoted to the practice of Davanloo’s Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), as well as providing training to mental health practitioners individually and in core training programs. He has offered numerous presentations on ISTDP nationally and internationally, and is a co-founder of The Mid-Atlantic Society for Training and Research in Davanloo’s ISTDP, as well as a Senior Supervisor and Senior Faculty Member of Habib Davanloo’s newly formed International Institute for ISTDP.
