Welcome to Amsterdam!

20 March 2016 By IEDTA Website

This is a copy of the welcome letter posted on the IEDTA 2016 conference website, iedta2016.org.

Dear IEDTA members, soon-to-become-members and those interested in the field of Experiential Dynamic Therapy,

We are excited to invite you to Amsterdam for our 8th international conference of the International Experiential Developmental Therapy Association (IEDTA), from November 3 – 5, 2016.

The conference theme is: Overcoming Treatment Resistant Depression: The Power of Emotion.

Our special venue is CASA 400, which is a modern conference centre, with a hotel on its premises, one tram ride away from the historical centre of Amsterdam.

We hope that you will enjoy the beautiful and always sparkling city of Amsterdam! There is never a shortage of wonderful activities in Amsterdam. You may want to listen to world-class music performances in the renowned concert hall, Het Concertgebouw, or hang out in the Leidseplein, the center of Amsterdam’s lively entertainment scene. For quieter moments, you may take time to sit outside at any of dozens of cafes (which provide outside heaters on colder nights), sipping coffee or tea while watching the vibrant city streets. Wind your way through Vondel Park, or stroll around the famous canals and take in the sights from the Amsterdam “golden age.” And of course, there are many famous museums to explore, including the Van Gogh museum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk museum, Hermitage, Joods Historisch museum (Jewish History), and the National Maritime Museum.

Please note that we have arranged special rates for airfares with KLM / Air France.
Hotel accommodations will be suggested for all budgets.

Looking forward to seeing you at IEDTA 2016, November 3 – 5 in Amsterdam!

Warm regards,

Kristin Osborn
President of the IEDTA

Director at RINO-NOORD Holland
