Dr. Josette ten Have-de Labije is a registered psychologist-psychotherapist and clinical psychologist. She started her professional career in 1972 at the department for Neuro- and Psychophysiology of the Free University of Brussels (Belgium). From 1989 to 1992 she was a member of the Dutch ISTDP group, which was trained and supervised by Professor Dr H. Davanloo.
As one of the founders of the Dutch Association for Short term Dynamic Psychotherapy (VKDP), she has been on the Board until October 2004. She is the coordinator of the VKDP’s educational program. She has given professional presentations at the International Congress on STDP in Milan (2001), in Amsterdam (2002), in Washington (2003), Los Angeles (2005), and Grand Rounds, UC San Diego (2005) and LLI conferences at UC Los Angeles (2003, 2005)
She edited the VKDP Summer school Proceedings 2001 : The working Alliance in ISTDP : Whose Intrapsychic Crisis ? and the Conference Proceedings 2002 : Natura Artis Magistra, (Un)conscious animals as Teachers of STDP. She is one of the editors of the Ad Hoc Bulletin of STDP : Practice and Theory and she wrote several articles.
