[This event has passed. — Editor]

We are continuing to finalize plans for the 7th IEDTA International Conference, “Healing the Effects of Trauma: The Promise of Affect- and Attachment-Based Psychodynamic Approaches,” which will take place Friday June 27 through Sunday June 29, 2014.

We are happy to announce that the conference will take place at the Bethesda, Maryland Hyatt Regency Hotel.  The hotel is located in the Bethesda Metro Center, which is about two miles from the Washington, DC line. The hotel is located at a stop on the Washington’s “Metro” subway line, making the entire Washington area easily accessible.

To make reservations at the substantially discounted conference rate, please visit https://resweb.passkey.com/go/PEDA. There is a 3% tax in addition to the quoted room rate.  The site does not charge your credit card; however, if you cancel your reservation after 1500 (3 pm) on the day before check-in, you will be charged for one night. If you need a room outside the dates available on the site, please contact kristin@kristinosborn.com.

For flights: the most easily accessible airport is Reagan/National in DC (30 minutes by car, 50 minutes by public transit). Second choice is Baltimore-Washing International (40+ minutes by car, 2 hours by public transit). Dulles airport in Virginia is a distant third choice according to local informants, since it is subject to bad traffic problems.

The hotel also offers an airport transportation service:

For Ronald Reagan/Washington National Airport:

  • Shuttle: US$25 per person with US$8 for each additional person. Occupancy: Minivans – 7 people with 1 bag per person; Large vans – 10 people with maximum of 14 bags
  • Sedans: US$70 per person. Occupancy: 4 people with one bag per person

For Dulles International Airport:

  • Shuttle: US$30 per person with US$8 for each additional person. Occupancy: Minivans – 7 people with 1 bag per person; Large vans – 10 people with maximum of 14 bags
  • Sedans: US$70 per person. Occupancy: 4 people with one bag per person
