This course is facilitated in a small group environment, designed to be an intensive learning experience for participants. The course involves theoretical teaching, skill development exercises and video case material. It also provides participants with therapeutic and practical resources.

This intensive course:

• Supports therapists from a broad variety of backgrounds to improve their therapeutic relationships and outcomes
• Helps therapists prepare for undertaking a core training in an EDT
• Enhances and maintains skills after completing core training

Suitable for all mental health and psychological health care practitioners, it brings together experiential and intensive dynamic techniques, attachment theory and neuroscientific research, and compliments the skill set of practitioners using many different psychological therapies.

Specific learning objectives include:

Developing competency in psychodiagnosis and focus on skills involved in successfully using the dynamic tool of the triangle of conflict.

• Facilitating identification and expression of feeling – physiological aspects, cognitive label and being present with impulses
• Assessing anxiety channels being used & how and when to regulate anxiety
• Recognizing and relinquishing defences
