ISTDP workshop held at La Cima Hospital in San Jose, Costa Rica. Video demonstrations of psychotherapy will include the case of a woman struggling with postpartum depression and severe superego pathology, who had been psychiatrically hospitalized due to suicidality. Clinical vignettes will be of  patients with varying degrees of fragility and resistance. In this presentation I will also integrate my own research findings on the relationship between insecure attachment styles, self-critical personality traits, and postpartum depression.

While this workshop is presented primarily for mental health clinicians in Costa Rica, it is open to anyone who would like to learn ISTDP in Spanish.
