IEDTA membership is open to anyone with a university degree and a government-issued registration / certification / license allowing you to practice in your country. Click here to go to the membership application form.
Membership in the IEDTA does not indicate certification or endorsement of therapeutic expertise by the IEDTA.
Members are expected to comply with the ethical standards of your licensing organization and the ethical standards of the IEDTA. We also ask members to notify us if an ethical complaint has been made against you. If these ethical standards are violated, membership may be terminated or suspended.
As a member, you will be eligible for:
- discounts at IEDTA conferences, including US$30 off of registration for our 2019 International Conference
- an option of being listed in the IEDTA therapist directory on this website
- an opportunity to participate in a growing organization of therapists who are working to provide high-quality affect-focused therapy
- an opportunity to exchange ideas and therapeutic approaches with therapists around the world
Membership Levels
Types and Fees
Regular Membership
For licensed mental health providers, including those who have complete IEDTA-certified core training and IEDTA-certified teacher/supervisors

Student Membership
For graduate students enrolled in a recognized post-secondary education program and/or licensed mental health providers enrolled in an EDT Core Training program that is not IEDTA-certified.

Recent Core Training Graduate Membership
For licensed mental health professionals who have completed an EDT Core Training program, membership fees for your regular membership is discounted for your first 2-years.
-- $100/first two years of membership, regular membership renewal fees apply thereafter
Core Trainee Membership
For licensed mental health professionals currently enrolled in an IEDTA-certified Core Training program. This program is free for up to 3 years total, while actively enrolled in an IEDTA-Certified Core Training Program
