Dr Lorraine Haye DClinPsy

30 January 2022 By IEDTA Website

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and also a fully accreditated EMDR Practitioner with additional training in Neuropsychology. Most of my clinical experience has involved working with a range of physical health problems including diabetes, renal, cancer, palliative care, sexual health, medically unexplained symptoms etc. Currently, I work in a neuropsychology department providing neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, and therapy for people with various neurological conditions including functional neurological disorders and spinal injuries. In private practice I work with children, adults and families with a broad spectrum of presentations but most commonly working with trauma (single incident, CPTSD, developmental trauma, racial trauma and intergenerational trauma), personality disorder, depression and anxiety.

I first discovered ISTDP in 2016 and in 2020 begun my core training. I’m now in my second year of ISTDP training. I’m passionate about ISTDP because of the precision in the assessment of anxiety, monitoring of affect and the integration of psychodynamic theory with affective neuroscience. I also love the broader EDT community of practitioners who are generally very skilled and open people willing to be vulnerable by sharing footage of their work to support learning and enhancement of good clinical practice.
