Dr Tom Mitchell is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). He begun practising ISTDP in 2012 and undertook his three year core training in 2015-2018. Having worked in the NHS for 12 years in various settings, he left to set up a private practice. He has experience treating a wide range of emotion-related problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, Bipolar Disorder and various personality disorders. His areas of special interest include trauma, unexplained physical pain and attachment. In addition to his clinical work, he has taught at the University of Hertfordshire and University of Nottingham for their Clinical Psychology doctoral training programmes. He has also published research in the area of disability and mental health.
