This core training is specifically designed for colleagues working in a National Health Service (NHS) setting. Each training group meets for five blocks of two days per year for three years (10 days in total per year, 30 days per core training). Each training block consists of a seminar, video teaching material, and supervision. As in all core trainings, trainees are required to bring video-tape of clinical sessions for their supervision. The majority of the teaching is provided by Dr Leo Russell with additional guest presenters from across the ISTDP community. Trainees are encouraged to develop peer support meetings to enhance the learning process. Teaching blocks are planned to avoid school holiday periods where possible to make it easier for colleagues to attend who have family commitments. Each year there is also an optional top-up seminar during the summer. The curriculum is based on well-established core principles of ISTDP. More information available upon request.
