Josette ten Have-de Labije and Centrum ISTDP are pleased to announce that a new ISTDP (Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy) core training group will be formed. The group will meet four times per year for 2 day blocks of training with additional supervision and workshops in-between. Josette ten Have-de Labije will teach each block or an IEDTA certified guest trainer/supervisor. The training will be three years long and certified by the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association (IEDTA).

The training is open to licensed psychotherapists, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, MFT-therapists, licensed social workers, who are working in the mental health sector.

Each trainee will be expected to bring an English subtitled 30 minute video-vignette of therapy sessions for supervision to each training with the exception of the first group meeting where it will be optional. If no subtitles, then a transcript in English. There will be Polish/English interpreter during this CORE training.

The trainees will be expected to have once per month peer-intervision with each other, either by means of a secured internet procedure and/or in person. Next to that trainees are expected to study the literature, to attend ISTDP workshops, seminars, masterclasses, summer schools and IEDTA conferences.

The training will consist of a combination of presentations of theory, techniques, videotapes of the trainers’ clinical work; role playing to integrate clinical skills; supervision of each trainee’s tapes. Readings will be assigned in relation to the focus of each block of training.
