Keynote Speaker
We are delighted to have Dr. Edward Tronick, one of the pioneers of research on attachment and mother-infant bonding, as our keynote speaker. The originator of the “still-face paradigm,” Dr. Tronick is Distinguished Professor at the University of Massachusetts, Boston and the Director of its Child Development Unit. Click here for more information on Dr. Tronick.
Conference Sessions
The conference is divided into sessions, typically three hours long, most of which will focus on our theme of new frontiers in EDT. Each session will feature contributions from several presenters, and all clinical presentations will be accompanied by video of actual therapy sessions. Conference-goers have an unparalleled opportunity to sample a wide variety of stylistic variations in the practice of EDT. Because the conference includes patient video, it is open only to licensed professionals and students in full-time training to become licensed professionals.
We are very excited about the slate of presenters, which includes most of the leading figures in the Experiential Dynamic Therapy field, along with contributions from other colleagues from around the globe. Follow this link for a full list of sessions and presenters.
Other Events
On Thursday evening, there will be a reception following the sessions to welcome conference-goers. Friday evening includes a Gala dinner featuring poet Sunita Merriman and psychologist/storyteller Susan Hurwit; tickets for the Gala are an additional $100.
Pre- and Post-Conference Workshops
As in other years prominent figures in Experiential Dynamic Therapy will be offering a number of coordinated workshops and immersions before and after the conference. Many conference-goers have found these to be important and valuable learning opportunities. They are offered independently, so any questions about registration, continuing educations, or other matters should be directed to the individual organizers.
Continuing Education Credits
6 CE/CME Credits per day for up to a total of 18 CE/CME Credits for the following professionals: Physicians, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, School Psychologists, and Nurses.
