Experiential Dynamic Therapy for Addictions

Psych Garden and BOLD Health will be offering a pre-conference workshop on September 25th. Continuing education credits for physicians, psychologists, social workers and licensed mental health care workers are pending and expected.
Working with addictions is some of the most challenging work in the field of mental health. It requires that clinicians balance flexibility, empathy, expertise, and a wide range of techniques. This workshop will demonstrate how to integrate experiential dynamic therapies into addictions treatment.
Jonathan Entis, PhD, Mark Green, MD, Kristy Lamb, MD, and others will use audiovisual presentations of cases to illustrate how ISTDP, AEDP, and other approaches can be modified and applied flexibly to patients with moderate to severe substance use disorders.
Participants will learn about the use of both individual and group experiential dynamic psychotherapies with this population, and how to apply them safely and effectively.
